Tashkent Tower
The Tashkent Television Tower is a 375 metres high tower, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Construction started in 1978 and it began operation 6 years later, on 15 January 1985. It was the 3rd tallest tower in the world from 1985 to 1991. It is of a vertical cantilever structure, and is constructed out of steel. Its architectural design is a product of the Terxiev, Tsarucov & Semashko firm. The tower has an observation deck located 97 metres above the ground.
Pakhtakor Markaziy Stadium
Central Stadium Pakhtakor or Pakhtakor Markaziy Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It is used mostly for football matches and it also has other athletic facilities. The stadium holds 35,000, which is all seated. It was built during Soviet times in 1956, and renovated in 1996.

The Supreme Assembly or National Assembly (Oliy Majlis) is the parliament of Uzbekistan. It succeeded the Supreme Soviet in 1995, and was unicameral until a reform implemented in January 2005 created a second chamber. The Legislative Chamber has 150 deputies elected from territorial constituencies. The Senate has 100 members, 84 elected from the regions, from the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan and from the capital, Tashkent, and an additional 16 nominated by the President of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent University of Information Technologies
Tashkent University of Information Technology (Ташкентский Университет Информационных Технологий, Tashkent University of Information Technology, often abbreviated ТАТУ, TUIT), in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is the largest university in Uzbekistan. The Tashkent University of Information Technology was founded as the Tashkent Electro Technical Institute of Communication in 1955. The aim of this institute was training communication engineers for Central Asia and Kazakhstan regions.
Ilkhom Theatre
Ilkhom Theatre (Ильхом Театр Марка Вайля) is a theatre company based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Founded by Mark Weil (Марк Яковлевич Вайль) in 1976, it was the first independent theatre in the Soviet Union, and remains self-supporting to this day. The theatre is described in a BBC Radio 4 Crossing Continents documentary in April 2008, which deals primarily with the murder in September 2007 of an acclaimed director Mark Weil.

The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan or Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences is the main scientific organization of the Republic of Uzbekistan and coordinates research in all areas of science and technology. The academy was established in 1943 as the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. After the collapse of the USSR it became the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
