The House of Representatives (Cámara de Representantes) is the lower house of the General Assembly of Uruguay (Asamblea General). The Chamber has 99 members, elected for a five-year term by proportional representation with at least two members per department. As of the last election, the Broad Front has retained its majority with 50 Deputies with the National Party receiving 31, the Colorado Party receiving 17, and the Independent Party electing two.

The Estadio Gran Parque Central, usually just Parque Central, is the stadium of Club Nacional de Football. 18 de Julio Avenue
Avenida 18 de Julio, or 18 de Julio Avenue, is the most important avenue in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is named after the date the first Constitution of Uruguay was written: July 18, 1830. It starts from Plaza Independencia at the limits of the Ciudad Vieja (the Old City), crosses the barrios Centro and Cordón and ends at the Obelisk of Montevideo in Tres Cruces, where it meets Artigas Boulevard.
Liberty Building (Montevideo)
Liberty Building served as one of two executive office buildings of the President of Uruguay (the Estévez Palace being the other). It was built in the 1970s during the military government for the Ministry of Defense, but in 1985, president Julio María Sanguinetti decided to move the presidential office to that building. Its surrounding area was turned into a park with a permanent exhibit of modern sculptures, which was inaugurated in 1996.

Obelisk of Montevideo
The Obelisk of Montevideo, officially listed as the Obelisco a los Constituyentes de 1830, is a monument, work of the sculptor José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín (1891-1975). It is a three sided obelisk made of granite, 40 metres tall with 3 bronze statues on its sides, representing "Law", "Liberty" and "Force". It has a hexagonal water fountain around it with six spheres on its outer circumference.

Museo de la Casa de Luis Alberto de Herrera is a museum in the Brazo Oriental barrio of Montevideo, Uruguay. The street in which the house is situated, somewhat set back from the road, is now known as Avenida Dr. Luis Alberto de Herrera (previously Avenida Larrañaga). It is surrounded by a park designed by landscape architect Charles Racine.
Reus al Norte
Reus al Norte is a historic barrio (neighbourhood or district) in Villa Muñoz, Montevideo, Uruguay. It was planned and constructed by Emillio Reus as a habitational alternative during the urban expansion of Montevideo in the end of the 19th century. Its design achieved an ideal relation between public and private space. The neighbourhood stands out for its modernist architecture and colourful houses and has become one of the famous sights of Montevideo.

British Hospital (Montevideo)
The British Hospital or Hospital Británico is a private hospital in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is located in the barrio of Parque Batlle, just west of the park of the same name. It was first established by the British in the Ciudad Vieja under the name Hospital Extranjero (Foreign Hospital) in 1857. It moved to its actual location under the current name in 1913. For more than 40 years it offers a private health insurance to its members called "British Hospital Scheme".
Hospital Vilardebó
Hospital Vilardebó is the only psychiatric hospital in Reducto, Montevideo, Uruguay. It opened on 21 May 1880, named after the physician and naturalist Teodoro Vilardebó Matuliche. The hospital was originally one the best of Latin America and in 1915 grew to 1500 hospital inpatients. Today the hospital is very deteriorated, with broken walls and floors, lack of medicines, beds, and rooms for the personnel.

Avenida 8 de Octubre, or 8 de Octubre Avenue, is one of the main avenues of Montevideo, Uruguay. It starts at Tres Cruces at the intersection with 18 de Julio Avenue, passes under Artigas Boulevard through the homonymous tunnel, runs for about 5.6 kilometers northeast and turns into Camino Maldonado (Ruta 8) at the point where Avenida José Belloni splits off towards the north.
