Plaza Zabala
Plaza Zabala is a plaza in the Ciudad Vieja of Montevideo, Uruguay. In late 1878, during the dictatorship of Colonel Lorenzo Latorre, it was decided to demolish the old fort and build a public square in its place. But for 12 years this site remained a wasteland. The Plaza finally came to be established only on December 31, 1890 when the equestrian statue of Bruno Mauricio de Zabala was installed.

Hospital Maciel
Hospital Maciel is a hospital in Montevideo, located in the western part of the Old City. It is one of the oldest hospitals in Uruguay. The land was originally donated in Spanish colonial times by philanthropist Francisco Antonio Maciel, who teamed up with Mateo Vidal to establish a hospital and charity. The first building was extended between 1781 and 1788, and later expanded on over time.

The Parish Church of St. Francis of Assisi (Spanish: Parroquia San Francisco de Asís) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Montevideo, Uruguay. Dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi, the church was originally established 2 December 1840. Located at the intersection of the streets Cerrito and Solís of the Ciudad Vieja, it was built in the 19th century in Neo-Romanesque style by French-Uruguayan architect Víctor Rabú; the building was completed in 1870.
