Chamber of Deputies of Uruguay
The House of Representatives (Cámara de Representantes) is the lower house of the General Assembly of Uruguay (Asamblea General). The Chamber has 99 members, elected for a five-year term by proportional representation with at least two members per department. As of the last election, the Broad Front has retained its majority with 50 Deputies with the National Party receiving 31, the Colorado Party receiving 17, and the Independent Party electing two.

The Chamber of Senators (Cámara de Senadores) is the upper house of the General Assembly (Asamblea General) of Uruguay. The Chamber has 30 members elected for a five-year term by proportional representation; the vice-president of Uruguay presides over the chamber's sessions. As of the most recent general election, 16 Senators represent the Frente Amplio, 9 represent the National Party, and 5 represent the Colorado Party.
Estadio Gran Parque Central
The Estadio Gran Parque Central, usually just Parque Central, is the stadium of Club Nacional de Football. It is located in Montevideo, Uruguay, near Nacional headquarters (exactly between the streets Carlos Anaya, Jaime Cibils, General Urquiza and Comandante Braga), in the La Blanqueada neighbourhood. In this stadium, Nacional plays most of its home games.

Estadio Contador Damiani
Estadio Contador Damiani, formerly Las Acacias, is a football stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay, inaugurated in 1916 and re-built in 1997. It is used mostly for Peñarol's reserves matches. The stadium can hold up to 12,000 people. VIP stands and the entrance were taken in 1930 to the stadium Estadio Pocitos, where the first ever goal in World Cup history was scored by the French forward Lucien Laurent. The structure has since been returned to its original location.

The stadium holds 11,000 people and was built in 1933. It has 4 seating sections, named after great players of the team: Obdulio Varela, Cayetano Saporitti, René "Tito" Borjas and Jorge "Chifle" Barrios.

Estadio Saroldi is a multi-use stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 6,000 all seated. Originally, the stadium was named as "Olimpia Park", as it served as home to Olimpia. After River Plate's goalkeeper Federico Omar Saroldi was fatally injured, during a match between his team and Central Español, the stadium starting to hold goalkeeper's name.

Estadio Belvedere is a multi-use stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is currently used primarily for football matches. The stadium holds 10,000 people and was built in 1909. On August 15, 1910, in a game at Estadio Belvedere, the Uruguay national football team wore their signature light blue jerseys for the first time. The game ended in a 3-1 victory over Argentina. It was also the first game that Argentina wore their signature blue and white striped jerseys.
Liberty Building (Montevideo)
Liberty Building served as one of two executive office buildings of the President of Uruguay (the Estévez Palace being the other). It was built in the 1970s during the military government for the Ministry of Defense, but in 1985, president Julio María Sanguinetti decided to move the presidential office to that building. Its surrounding area was turned into a park with a permanent exhibit of modern sculptures, which was inaugurated in 1996.

It has a communal hall, a library, a shopping mall and a school.
Cilindro Municipal
Cilindro Municipal (The Municipal Cylinder) was an Indoor arena in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was opened in 1956 for Industrial Exhibition of the Production of international character. On October 21, 2010, its roof fell down atop the inside structure because of a fire, the source of which is unknown, severely damaging the seats. Interior Ministry Eduardo Bonomi confirmed it will be demolished.

The Estadio Osvaldo Roberto (also known as Parque Osvaldo Roberto) is a football stadium located in Montevideo, Uruguay, in the Sayago neighborhood at the intersection of Ave. Sayago and Ave. Millan streets. The stadium's capacity is 8,500 people. It is the home ground of Racing Club de Montevideo. The stadium was opened in 1941. The stadium is named after the founder and a former player of Racing Club de Montevideo, Osvaldo Roberto.

The street in which the house is situated, somewhat set back from the road, is now known as Avenida Dr. Luis Alberto de Herrera (previously Avenida Larrañaga). It is surrounded by a park designed by landscape architect Charles Racine.
Reus al Norte
Reus al Norte is a historic barrio (neighbourhood or district) in Villa Muñoz, Montevideo, Uruguay. It was planned and constructed by Emillio Reus as a habitational alternative during the urban expansion of Montevideo in the end of the 19th century. Its design achieved an ideal relation between public and private space. The neighbourhood stands out for its modernist architecture and colourful houses and has become one of the famous sights of Montevideo.
Parque Prado
Parque Prado is the largest of Montevideo's six principal public parks. Established in 1873, it covers an area of 106 hectares and is located in the barrio of Prado. Located in the northern part of the city, the Miguelete Creek flows through the neighbourhood and park of the same name. The Presidential Residence is located behind the Botanical Gardens.
Hospital Vilardebó
Hospital Vilardebó is the only psychiatric hospital in Reducto, Montevideo, Uruguay. It opened on 21 May 1880, named after the physician and naturalist Teodoro Vilardebó Matuliche. The hospital was originally one the best of Latin America and in 1915 grew to 1500 hospital inpatients. Today the hospital is very deteriorated, with broken walls and floors, lack of medicines, beds, and rooms for the personnel.
8 de Octubre Avenue
Avenida 8 de Octubre, or 8 de Octubre Avenue, is one of the main avenues of Montevideo, Uruguay. It starts at Tres Cruces at the intersection with 18 de Julio Avenue, passes under Artigas Boulevard through the homonymous tunnel, runs for about 5.6 kilometers northeast and turns into Camino Maldonado (Ruta 8) at the point where Avenida José Belloni splits off towards the north.
Cementerio del Norte, Montevideo
Cementerio del Norte is the largest cemetery in Montevideo, Uruguay, and also the largest green park area of the city. It is located in the barrio of Casavalle in the northern-central part of the city, about 7 kilometres from the centre. To the southwest is Parque Luis Rivero and the barrio of Aires Puros. The barrio of Las Acacias lies to the east.
Casa Central del Banco República
Casa Central del Banco República is a building, seat of the administration of the Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay. It is located in Ciudad Vieja of Montevideo, Uruguay. The building is the work of Italian architect Giovanni Veltroni and was inaugurated on 19 February 1938, ten years after the approval for its construction. The sculptures of its facade are the work of Uruguayan sculptor Juan Zorrilla de San Martín and were inaugurated in 1940 and 1950.

The Estadio Parque Maracaná is a football stadium that is located in Casavalle, Montevideo, Uruguay. It has a capacity of 8,000 and is the home stadium of Club Sportivo Cerrito. The stadium opened on Saturday 20 September 2008, with a match between Cerrito and Huracán Buceo in the Segunda División that Cerrito won 3 -0.
Battle of Cardal
The Battle of Cardal (also known as Battle of Cordón), on 20 January 1807, was the main conflict between the Spanish defense forces of Montevideo, Uruguay, and British troops during the siege of Montevideo during the second British invasion of the River Plate. The British won an easy victory over the outnumbered opposing forces, which paved the way for the fall of the city,
