Green River, Wyoming
Green River is a city in and the county seat of Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The population was 12,515 at the 2010 census.
Expedition Island
Expedition Island is a park in Green River, Wyoming, that marks the area where Major John Wesley Powell started an expedition down the Green River and Colorado River in 1871. The park is also believed to mark where Major Powell started a similar expedition down the two rivers in 1869. These two expeditions are generally considered to have covered the last large land area in the continental United States left unexplored by European-Americans.
KUGR
KUGR is an AM radio station located in Green River, Wyoming operating on 1490 kHz AM. It carries a soft adult contemporary and talk format. The station is owned by Wagonwheel Communications Corporation. KUGR won the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters board "Station of the Year" award in 2006. The station celebrated its 30th year of broadcasting in June 2006. KUGR signed on in 1976.
Bitter Creek (Wyoming)

The creek rises near the Delaney Rim on the western side of Wyoming's Red Desert in Carbon County. For most of its course, Bitter Creek parallels the path of the transcontinental railroad, and the modern route of Interstate 80. It flows through the cities of Rock Springs and Green River before emptying into the Green River.

Scott's Bottom Nature Area or simply Scott's Bottom is a park located along the Green River in southwestern Wyoming and is maintained by the city of Green River, Wyoming. It offers several trails for recreation as well as an archery range, shooting range, and a small paintball complex that was new as of 2005, however has since been removed. The new outdoor Archery range was built in 2006 and 2007.
