Menasha, Wisconsin
Menasha is a city in Calumet and Winnebago counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 17,353 at the 2010 census. The city is located mostly in the Town of Menasha in Winnebago County; only a small portion is in the Town of Harrison in Calumet County. Doty Island is located partially in Menasha. The city's name comes from the Winnebago word meaning "thorn" or "island.

WSCO (1570 AM, "The Score") is a radio station broadcasting a Sports radio format. Licensed to Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, the station serves the Appleton-Oshkosh area. The station is currently owned by Woodward Communications, Inc. and features programing from Fox Sports Radio, Motor Racing Network and Sporting News Radio. WSCO is also heard on translator W237AA 95.3 FM in Appleton, Wisconsin. The station signed on in 1952 as WAPL. The call letters were changed to WVMS on October 4, 1978.
1972 Lake Winnebago mid-air collision
On June 29, 1972, North Central Airlines Flight 290 collided in mid-air with Air Wisconsin Flight 671 over Lake Winnebago near Appleton, Wisconsin, in the United States. Both aircraft crashed into the lake, killing all 13 people on board.
