Williamstown, West Virginia
Williamstown is a city in Wood County, West Virginia, United States, along the Ohio River. It is part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,908 at the 2010 census. The Fenton Art Glass Company is located in the city.
Muskingum River
The Muskingum River is a tributary of the Ohio River, approximately 111 miles (179 km) long, in southeastern Ohio in the United States. An important commercial route in the 19th century, it flows generally southward through the eastern hill country of Ohio. Via the Ohio, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The river is navigable for much of its length through a series of locks and dams.
Marietta College
Marietta College is a co-educational liberal arts private college in historic Marietta, Ohio, USA, which was the first permanent settlement of the Northwest Territory. The school offers 44 majors along with a large number of minors, all of which are grounded in a strong liberal arts foundation. The school encompasses approximately three city blocks next to downtown Marietta and enrolls 1,435 full-time students.
Marietta–Williamstown Interstate Bridge
This four-lane cantilever bridge carries Interstate 77 between Williamstown, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio. The bridge was completed in 1967 and it was rehabilitated in 2003.
Williamstown Bridge
The Williamstown Bridge is a bridge over the Ohio River between Williamstown, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio. The bridge carries West Virginia Route 31 and Ohio State Route 60. U.S. Route 21 was also formerly routed along this bridge.

WMRT is a radio station broadcasting a classical format. WMRT also plays jazz weekday afternoons. Licensed to Marietta, Ohio, USA, it serves the Parkersburg-Marietta area. The station is currently owned and by Marietta College and is run almost entirely by students.
Putnam Street Bridge
The Putnam Street Bridge, also known as the Marietta Bridge, is a historical United States river crossing that connects Marietta, Ohio with its Fort Harmar district. The original 1880 bridge was the first free crossing of the Muskingum River. The 1913 bridge was a contributing structure to the Harmar Historic District. The bridge crosses the Muskingum, just above its confluence with the Ohio River.
Picketed Point Stockade
Picketed Point Stockade was the last of three fortifications built at Marietta, Ohio. This defensive stockade was built by pioneers during the Northwest Indian War in 1791 on the east side of the mouth of the Muskingum River at its confluence with the Ohio River, and directly across the Muskingum from Fort Harmar. Colonel William Stacy superintended the construction of the stockade under direction of Colonel Ebenezer Sproat.
