Kelly Miller High School was a 'colored' or 'negro' high school in Clarksburg, West Virginia operated from 1903 until school desegregation in 1956. The school was named in honor of Kelly Miller (scientist), an African American mathematician, sociologist, essayist, newspaper columnist, author, and an important figure in the intellectual life of black America for close to half a century.
Washington Irving High School (West Virginia)
Washington Irving High School was a school in Clarksburg, West Virginia, USA, until it was made into a middle school. When WI opened its doors in 1914 it was an all white school. It continued to be until the end of segregation in 1956 when the doors of Kelly Miller High School (Clarksburg's black school) were closed for good. Notable alumni include the ESPN broadcaster Mike Patrick, and Sam Ellis, former manager for Meat Loaf.
Victory High School
Victory High School (now known as Adamston Elementary School) was a public high school in Clarksburg, West Virginia that operated from 1917 through 1973. The school colors were black and orange. They were known as the Victory Fighting Eagles. The school is still in operation today as Adamston Elementary School. In 1998 a new bricked driveway was built in front the former high school to allow students to be dropped off and picked up in a safe environment.
Pete Dye Golf Club
The Pete Dye Golf Club is an 18-hole facility in Harrison County, just northwest of Bridgeport, West Virginia. It features 7,308 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 76.9 and it has a slope rating of 147. Designed by Pete Dye, ASGCA, the Pete Dye golf course opened in 1995. Donna Mitchell manages the course as the General Manager.

It is now a neighborhood of Clarksburg, West Virginia. It attained some national attention in 1912 when it elected a Socialist mayor and city government, some of whom were re-elected in 1915.
