Oak Hill, West Virginia
Oak Hill is a city in Fayette County, West Virginia, United States and is the primary city within the Oak Hill, WV Micropolitan Statistical Area. The micropolitan area is also included in the Beckley-Oak Hill, WV Combined Statistical Area. The population was 7,730 at the 2010 census. Country singer Hank Williams was discovered to be dead while the car in which he was a passenger was stopped in Oak Hill, and Oak Hill is generally accepted to be his place of death.

2013 National Scout Jamboree
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is the 18th national Scout jamboree held by the Boy Scouts of America from July 15, 2013 to July 24, 2013. It is the first national Scout jamboree to be held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia and the first jamboree to include Venturers as participants. Projected attendance is over 50,000 Boy Scouts, Venturers, volunteers and staff.
24th World Scout Jamboree
The 24th World Scout Jamboree will be held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia during the summer of 2019. The hosting duties will be split between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The theme is Unlock a New World
