Fairhaven College

Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies is an interdisciplinary liberal arts college at Western Washington University. Instead of completing the general education requirements at Western, students take interdisciplinary classes at Fairhaven which aim to cover the same breadth and depth of subjects, but within small, interdisciplinary seminars.

Sehome Hill Arboretum

The Sehome Hill Arboretum is an 180-acre park of second growth forest located in the city of Bellingham, Washington, USA, adjacent to the campus of Western Washington University. Though called an arboretum, the hilly expanse atop Sehome Hill is not consciously planted as an exhibit of tree species, but naturally wooded and rich in the plant species (both native and nonnative) typical of the region. The arboretum is jointly managed by both the university and the city.

KUGS

KUGS is a college radio station in Bellingham, Washington, USA. KUGS was founded on January 29, 1974 as a 10 watt radio station. In 1984 this was increased to the current 100 watts. KUGS remains an independent and fully student managed college radio station. In 1997 was the second station in the US to broadcast content online, which ended in 2002. In 2006 KUGS began webcasting again through its website. In 1999 the station applied to upgrade to 700 watts effective radiated power.

Lake Padden is a lake located in Bellingham, Washington, United States. The park is popular during the spring and summer, and features numerous picnic areas as well as playgrounds. A significant piece of geography besides the lake itself is a 1000 foot ridge that separates the lake from I-5 to the south.
