Lake Washington
Lake Washington is a large freshwater lake adjacent to the city of Seattle. It is the largest lake in King County and the second largest natural lake in the state of Washington, after Lake Chelan. It is bordered by the cities of Seattle on the west, Bellevue and Kirkland on the east, Renton on the south and Kenmore on the north, and surrounds Mercer Island. The lake is fed by the Sammamish River at its north end and the Cedar River at its south.

Washington Park also includes a playfield and the Seattle Japanese Garden in its southwest corner. The entire length of Arboretum Creek is within the park.
East Montlake Park

Denny-Blaine Park is a 2 acres park in the Denny-Blaine neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It is located on Lake Washington along and at the end of E. Denny-Blaine Place. The land for the park was donated to the City of Seattle by Charles L. Denny and Elbert F. Blaine, who were also responsible for sub-dividing the surrounding neighborhood. There is a grass beach as well as a picnic area and a volleyball pit.
Lakeview Park (Seattle)
Lakeview Park is a 4.5 acre (18,000 m²) park in the Denny-Blaine neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, located on both sides of Lake Washington Boulevard E. as it winds down a hillside toward Lake Washington. The western half is a bowl-like park with grass and trees along Dorffel Drive E. and E. Harrison Street; the eastern half incorporates a lookout at the end of E. Harrison Street and undeveloped hillside between Hillside Drive E. and McGilvra Boulevard E.

Seattle Japanese Garden
The Seattle Japanese Garden is a 3.5 acre (14,000 m²) Japanese garden in Seattle, Washington, located in the southwest corner of the Washington Park Arboretum along Lake Washington Boulevard E. The decision had been made to include a Japanese garden in the Arboretum in 1937, but it took 20 years for fundraising to begin. Kiyoshi Inoshita and Juki Iida were appointed as designers and completed their plans in 1959.
Alvin Larkins Park
Alvin Larkins Park is a park in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, located on the north side of E. Pike Street between 34th and 35th Avenues. The land was purchased by the city in 1973 and made into a park in 1975. In 1979, it was named after Alvin Larkins, a resident of the neighborhood from 1949 until he died in 1977.

It was named by Charles L. Denny after his wife, Viretta Jackson Denny. It is located to the South of the former home of Kurt Cobain, where he died. Nirvana fans gather at the park on the anniversary of Cobain's death (April 5), and to a lesser extent on his birthday (Feb 20), to pay tribute to the musician.
