Blue Gulch Reservoir Dam
The Blue Gulch Reservoir Dam is a dam in Kettle Falls, Washington. It is owned by Richard Hurst, who also owns the Blue Gulch Reservoir. The dam is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:48|35|24|N|118|05|58|W| | |name= }} in Stevens County, Washington. The dam was completed in 1926.
Kettle Falls
Kettle Falls was an ancient and important salmon fishing site on the upper reaches of the Columbia River, in what is today the U.S. state of Washington, near the Canadian border. The falls consisted of a series of rapids and cascades where the river passed through quartzite rocks deposited by prehistoric floods on a substrate of Columbia River basalt. The river dropped nearly 50 feet, and the sound of the falls could be heard for miles away.
St. Paul's Mission
St. Paul's Mission was a Jesuit mission church established in the Hudson's Bay Company's (HBC) Columbia District, in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, in the 1830s. The mission was built near the HBC's Fort Colville, on the bluff then overlooking Kettle Falls on the Columbia River. The building still stands today.
