University of Virginia's College at Wise
The University of Virginia's College at Wise (also known as UVa-Wise, or University of Virginia at Wise) is the liberal arts college of the University of Virginia, and a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges, located in Wise, Virginia, United States. It is the only branch of the University of Virginia, and the westernmost public college in Virginia.
J. J. Kelly High School
J. J. Kelly High School is a former public high school in Wise, Virginia. The school was opened in 1953. It was part of the Wise County Public Schools system. It was named after a former county school board superintendent, Dr. J. J. Kelly, Jr. The enrollment in 2005 was 504 students and employed 41 teachers. The mascot for J. J. Kelly High School was the Indian. The school's colors were red and white.
Wise County Courthouse (Virginia)
The Wise County Courthouse is located at 206 East Main Street in downtown Wise, Virginia. As well as being home to Wise County's judicial system, it also serves as the chief administrative building for the county. It was built in 1896 to replace a much smaller court building. The original courthouse was completed in 1858, two years after the formation of Wise County, but was destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War in 1864.

Beaty–Richmond Field at Carl Smith Stadium is a 3,086-capacity stadium in Wise, Virginia used mostly by the UVa. Wise Highland Cavaliers football team. The stadium is named for Carl Smith, a Wise native who donated large sums of money to the University system, and the field is named for Lelia Maude Beaty Richmond, another Wise native who was a supporter of the school.
