Battle of Williamsburg
The Battle of Williamsburg, also known as the Battle of Fort Magruder, took place on May 5, 1862, in York County, James City County, and Williamsburg, Virginia, as part of the Peninsula Campaign of the American Civil War. It was the first pitched battle of the Peninsula Campaign, in which nearly 41,000 Federals and 32,000 Confederates were engaged, fighting an inconclusive battle that ended with the Confederates continuing their withdrawal.
Alpengeist
Alpengeist is a full-circuit inverted roller coaster, built by Bolliger & Mabillard in 1997 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Alpengeist has an Alpine mountain region theme. The name "Alpengeist" is German for "Ghost of the Alps" or "Alps Spirit" and the ride is themed to a runaway ski lift. Since it opened in 1997, Alpengeist has been the worlds tallest and fastest complete circuit inverted coaster.
Fort Magruder
Fort Magruder was a 30-foot high earthen fortification straddling the road between Yorktown and Williamsburg, Virginia, just outside the latter city (and former Virginia state capital) during the American Civil War. At the center of the Williamsburg Line, it was also referred to as Redoubt Number 6.
Loch Ness Monster (roller coaster)
The Loch Ness Monster is a steel roller coaster located in Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Designed by Ron Toomer of Arrow Dynamics, the Loch Ness Monster was the world's tallest roller coaster when it opened in 1978. It was also the first coaster to contain interlocking loops. In 2008, the ride celebrated its 30th anniversary. The ride, located in the Scottish-themed area of the park, also features a helix tunnel, two lift hills and a 114-foot drop.

College Creek (formerly named Archer's Hope Creek) is located in James City County in the Virginia Peninsula area of the Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia in the United States. From a point of origin near the independent city of Williamsburg, it is a tributary of the James River.

Kinsgmill Resort is premier vacation, conference and golf resort which located in James City County, Virginia. It is located on a portion of the Kingsmill Plantation first established in the late 17th century. The original plantation structures and their successors have long been in ruins.
Kingsmill Championship
The Kingsmill Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played in Williamsburg, Virginia. Previously known as the "Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill" and played in May, the tournament was founded in 2003 and was played for seven seasons. Absent in 2010 and 2011, it returns for the 2012 season in early September, with plans to return to May in 2013. The LPGA event succeeded the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill, an annual PGA Tour event last held in 2002.
