Fort Hunt, Virginia
Fort Hunt is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. (For the former military base see Fort Hunt Park). It is one of the wealthiest places in the United States with a median household income surpassing that of Greenwich, Connecticut and Malibu, California, and is most famous for the site of former P.O. Box 1142, a military interrogation center during World War II.
Hybla Valley, Virginia
Hybla Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States south of Alexandria, Virginia. Nearby CDPs include Groveton, Virginia (north), Belle Haven, Fairfax County, Virginia (northeast), Fort Hunt, Virginia (east) and Mount Vernon, Virginia (southwest). The population was 15,801 at the 2010 census, down from 16,721 in 2000 due to a reduction in area, resulting from some of the eastward neighborhoods including much of Hollin Hills being moved to Fort Hunt CDP.
Mount Vernon Trail
The Mount Vernon Trail, a part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail, is a 17 miles paved hiker/biker path in Northern Virginia that travels between Rosslyn and George Washington's home at Mount Vernon. The trail travels through the easternmost portions of Arlington County, the City of Alexandria, and Fairfax County. The trail's route parallels the George Washington Memorial Parkway and the western bank of the Potomac River.
Northern Virginia trolleys
The earliest electric railway, or streetcar line, in Northern Virginia opened in 1892. At their peak, when merged into a single interurban system (the Washington-Virginia Railway), the successors of this and several other lines ran between downtown Washington, D.C. , Rosslyn and Arlington Junction – present day Crystal City – and out to Mount Vernon, Fairfax City and Nauck.

Mount Vernon High School is a school in the Fairfax County Public Schools system located in Mount Vernon, Virginia. The school was founded in 1939. The school motto is "Esse Non Videri (Latin for "To be, not to seem to be").
Fort Hunt High School
Fort Hunt High School was a public secondary school near Alexandria, Virginia located at 8428 Fort Hunt Road. It opened its doors toward the end of the post–World War II baby boom in 1963, as part of the Fairfax County Public Schools. It suffered extensive fire damage as the result of arson in December of 1978. Students were sent on a split shift to nearby Groveton and Mt. Vernon high schools through the remainder of the 1978-79 schoolyear.
Raid on Alexandria
The Raid on Alexandria was a British victory during the War of 1812, which gained much plunder at little cost but may have contributed to the later British repulse at Baltimore by imposing delay on their main forces.
Little Hunting Creek
Little Hunting Creek is a 3.6-mile-long primarily tidal tributary of the Potomac River located in Fairfax County, Virginia, USA, not to be confused with Hunting Creek farther north. A stone-arch bridge, completed in 1931, carries traffic from the George Washington Memorial Parkway across the narrow mouth of the creek, located 83.9 nautical miles upriver from the mouth of the Potomac.
