Atlantic University
Atlantic University is an American institution of higher education in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It is associated with an Edgar Cayce organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.). Its offices are in the A.R.E. headquarters. The university was founded in 1930 as a four-year university, but closed two years later due to the Great Depression. It was restarted in 1985 as an M.A. program in Transpersonal Studies, conducted mainly through distance education.

Frank W. Cox High School
Frank W. Cox High School is a secondary school located in the Great Neck subdivision of Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was founded in 1961 as the Northeast Junior High School, but upon opening, it was named after a former superintendent of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Frank Woodard Cox, who led the school division from 1933 to 1968. A replacement building, also designated as a primary hurricane shelter, was built nearby, at 2425 Shorehaven Drive.
