Battle of Blackburn's Ford
The Battle of Blackburn's Ford took place on July 18, 1861, in Prince William County and Fairfax County, Virginia, as part of the First Manassas Campaign of the American Civil War. A Union brigade was ordered to probe the Confederate defenses along Bull Run to locate the Confederate left. At Blackburn's Ford, the brigade attempted to cross but Confederate fire broke up the attack and Union commanders decided to cross the creek farther upstream.

Battle of Bristoe Station
The Battle of Bristoe Station was fought on October 14, 1863, at Bristoe Station, Virginia, between Union forces under Maj. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren and Confederate forces under Lt. Gen. A.P. Hill during the Bristoe Campaign of the American Civil War. The Union II Corps under Warren was able to surprise and repel the Confederate attack by Hill on the Union rearguard, resulting in a Union victory.

Old Dominion Speedway
Old Dominion Speedway (ODS) was a 3/8 mile (0.6 km) NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and drag racing track in Prince William County, just south of Manassas, Virginia. Old Dominion Speedway closed in the Fall of 2012. Hemmed in by residential development has led to frequent noise complaints from neighbors, which convinced ownership to search for new locations along 95 between Stafford County and Richmond.

Broad Run/Airport (VRE station)
The Broad Run/Airport Virginia Railway Express station is located at 10637 Piper Lane in the Bristow section of unincorporated Prince William County, Virginia, United States, adjacent to Manassas Regional Airport. It is the last station on VRE's Manassas Line, and has parking for 885 cars. The station is located on a siding that leads off the 2 track main line. The siding continues to a yard for the Virginia Railway Express.

Hylton Performing Arts Center
The Hylton Performing Arts Center is a $46 million performance facility located on the Prince William County, Virginia campus of George Mason University. The center is a joint venture that was funded 60 percent by Prince William County, 30 pecent by the university and 10 percent by the City of Manassas, Virginia. It opened on May 22, 2010. The nine-story structure contains 85,000 sq ft of space including: 1,121-seat Merchant Hall opera house with a 100 foot stage and orchestra pit.
