Chesapeake is an independent city located in the South Hampton Roads portion of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of Virginia in the United States. Indian River High School (Chesapeake, Virginia)
Indian River High School is a high school in Chesapeake, Virginia. As of the 2006-07 school year, it has approximately 1800 students. The principal is Mr. James L. Frye. The original IRHS, which opened in 1967, was located on Old Greenbrier Road, while construction on the current building took place. The single-story facility opened in winter 1972 on Dunbarton Road, receiving its own address of 1969 Braves Trail in the mid-1990s.
