Salt Lake County is a county located in the U.S. state of Utah. It had a population of 1,029,655 at the 2010 census. Its county seat and largest city is Salt Lake City, the state capital. It occupies the Salt Lake Valley, as well as parts of the surrounding mountains, the Oquirrh Mountains to the west and the Wasatch Range to the east. In addition, the Great Salt Lake is partially within the northwestern section of the county.

Salt Lake Valley

Salt Lake Valley is a 500-square-mile valley in Salt Lake County in the north-central portion of the U.S. state of Utah. It contains Salt Lake City and many of its suburbs, notably Murray, Sandy, South Jordan, West Jordan, and West Valley City; its total population is 1,029,655 as of 2010. Brigham Young said this is the place, when he and his fellow settlers moved into Utah after being driven out of several states.

Glendale is a neighborhood on the West side of Salt Lake City, Utah. Glendale is situated South of the Rose Park, Fair Park, and Poplar Grove neighborhoods. The neighborhood was originally developed as Glendale Gardens which is where Glendale Middle School derives its name. Granger High School is a public high school located in West Valley City, Utah, United States. The school enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year was 1,736 with 77 teachers for a teacher to student ratio of 22.3. The mascot is the Granger Lancer. The school was designed with a King Arthur theme, hence the cafeteria is known as Stonehenge, and the school's colors are the same as King Arthur's. East Hollywood High School
