Laredo, Texas
Laredo is the county seat of Webb County, Texas, United States, located on the north bank of the Rio Grande in South Texas, across from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. According to the 2010 census, the city population was 236,091 making it the tenth most populous city in the state of Texas and 3rd most populated on the United States-Mexican border, after San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas.

Republic of the Rio Grande Capitol Building Museum is located in the downtown San Agustin Historical District in Laredo, Texas, USA, next to the historic La Posada Hotel, previously the site of the former Laredo High School. Once the Republic of the Rio Grande capitol building, it now showcases memorabilia from the short-lived Republic of the Rio Grande and displays pictures, books, and furniture from the 19th century Laredo area.

The Laredo–Nuevo Laredo Metropolitan Area is one of six bi-national metropolitan areas along the United States-Mexican border. The city of Laredo is situated in the American state of Texas on the northern bank of the Rio Grande and Nuevo Laredo is located in the Mexican State of Tamaulipas in the southern bank of the river. This metropolitan area is also known as the Two Laredos or the Laredo Borderplex.
El Portal Center
El Portal Center formally River Drive Mall was a regional 385,000-square-foot indoor mall located in the north Rio Grande bank in downtown Laredo, Texas. The mall was constructed in 1977. The River Drive Mall was succeeded by Mall Del Norte in the late 1980s as the main mall in the city. It has been closed since 2003 when Morgan Stern Realty bought the property, renamed it El Portal Center and started renovating it until 2005.
Cathedral of San Agustin
The Cathedral of San Agustin is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Laredo, Texas. It is located at 214 San Bernardo Avenue in the heart of the downtown area in the San Agustin Historical District. The present church building dates from 1872. The bishop is the Most Reverend James Anthony Tamayo. As of 2000, the cathedral was the mother church for 289,415 Catholics in the diocese.
Laredo Convent Avenue Port of Entry
The Laredo Convent Avenue Port of Entry is located at the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge (sometimes referred to as "Bridge I" or "Old Bridge" or "Convent Avenue Bridge"). Since 1889, a bridge connected Laredo, Texas with Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas at this location. For many years, this was the only crossing for vehicular and pedestrian traffic between the two cities.
Laredo Juarez-Lincoln Port of Entry
The Laredo Juarez-Lincoln Port of Entry is located at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge (sometimes referred to as "Bridge II"). It was built in 1976 primarily to divert truck traffic from the congested Gateway to the Americas International Bridge. However, it too was soon overwhelmed with traffic. Currently, all trucks are inspected at Bridges III and IV, leaving only passenger vehicles, buses and pedestrians crossing at this location.
