Fort Duncan
Fort Duncan was a U.S. Army post, set up to protect the first U.S. settlement on the Rio Grande near the current town of Eagle Pass, Texas. Fort Duncan was established on March 27, 1849, when Captain Sidney Burbank occupied the site with companies A, B, and F of the First United States Infantry. On November 14, 1849, the post was named Fort Duncan, after James Duncan, a hero of the Mexican-American War.

Eagle Pass is a city in and the county seat of Maverick County in the US state of Texas. The population was 27,183 as of the 2010 census. Eagle Pass borders the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, which is to the southwest and across the Rio Grande. The Eagle Pass-Piedras Negras Metropolitan Area (EG-PN) is one of six binational metropolitan areas along the United States-Mexican border.

KEPS (1270 AM, "Tejano 127") is a radio station licensed to serve Eagle Pass, Texas, USA. The station is owned by Rhattigan Broadcasting and the broadcast license is held by Rhattigan Broadcasting (Texas), LP . KEPS broadcasts a Spanish Contemporary music format. The station also broadcasts local news, sports, plus CNN en Español newscasts. The station was assigned the call sign KEPS by the Federal Communications Commission.
Eagle Pass Port of Entry
The Eagle Pass Port of Entry was established around 1896. The first carriage bridge connecting Eagle Pass, Texas with Piedras Negras, Mexico (then known as Porfirio Díaz) was built in April 1890, but was destroyed in a flood in September 1890. The bridge was soon replaced, and was again rebuilt in 1927 and 1954. The original port facility was rebuilt in 1927 and was replaced by the current facility in 1960.
