UH–Downtown (METRORail station)
UH–Downtown is a station on the METRORail Red Line in Houston, Texas, and it is the northern terminus of the Red Line. The station is located on top of the Main Street viaduct at the campus of the University of Houston–Downtown (UHD). Upon arrival, incoming passengers deboard the train and the operator switches cabs for the return trip. (METRORail trains have one cab for each direction of travel. ) After about a seven minute layover the train departs for the Fannin South station.

The Saint Arnold Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Houston, Texas, named for a patron saint of brewing, Saint Arnulf of Metz. It was founded in 1994 by Brock Wagner and Kevin Bartol, graduates of Rice University. The brewery offers tours every weekday & Saturday afternoons which have attracted a large following. Saint Arnold has won numerous national and international awards.
Allen's Landing
Allen's Landing is the birthplace of the city of Houston—the largest city in the U.S. state of Texas. In August 1836, just months after the Republic of Texas won its independence from Mexico, two brothers (and real estate developers) from New York—John Kirby Allen and Augustus Chapman Allen—purchased 6,642 acres (27 km²) in the area and settled there on the banks of Buffalo Bayou. The campus of the University of Houston–Downtown sits atop Allen's Landing.

The Houston Amtrak station is a train station in Houston, Texas, United States served by Amtrak, the U.S. national railroad passenger system. The present station, which opened to passengers on October 26, 1959, was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad to replace the former Grand Central Station which was located just to the east of the current property. That station operated from September 1, 1934 until the property was sold to the U.S.

The school, serving grades 6 through 12, is a part of the Houston Independent School District. The school served as a vocational school and pregnant girls' school. Carter Career Center had many students who are single parents. It had a day-care center that is supported by corporations, the state, the federal government, and foundations.

The Kiam Building is a brick building constructed in 1893 in Houston, Texas. It was originally built as a clothing store. The building was designed by H. C. Holland as a five story office building with ground level stores. The building still has its original colors.
Joe Kegans State Jail
Joe Kegans State Jail is a state jail of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice located along the northeast edge of Downtown Houston, Texas. The approximately 1 acre facility for men is located .5 miles south of Interstate 10. The detention facility building that Kegans uses first opened in February 1995 as a place to house nonviolent offenders in order to relieve prison overcrowding.

Benji's Special Educational Academy Independent School District (or Benji's Academy Charter School) is a state charter school with two campuses (including Benji's II) in the Northside district of Houston, Texas, near the Fifth Ward. The school covered grades Pre-Kindergarten 4-12. As of 2010 the school is defying an order to close from the Texas Education Agency.
