Cherokee County Airport is a county-owned public use airport in Cherokee County, Texas, United States. It is located six nautical miles southeast of the central business district of Jacksonville, Texas. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned JSO by the FAA and JKV by the IATA.
Thunder Mountain Motor Speedway
Thunder Mountain Speedway was a 3/10 mile dirt track racing facility in East Texas located just north of Rusk, Texas, USA, on U.S. Route 69. Dubbed the "Potato Chip" for its unique shape, the track was a favorite of many drivers. The facility fell on hard times in the last few years and has changed hands on numerous occasions, closing in 2006. It is currently for sale.
