San Antonio
San Antonio is the seventh most populous city in the United States of America and the second most populous city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1.3 million. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000-2010, and the second from 1990-2000. The city is located in the American Southwest, the south–central part of Texas, and the southwestern corner of an urban region known as the Texas Triangle. San Antonio serves as the seat of Bexar County.

Alamodome
The Alamodome is a domed 65,000 seat, multi-purpose facility used as a football, basketball stadium and convention center. It's located on the southeastern fringe of Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. The facility opened on May 15, 1993, at a cost of $186 million. Along with placating the San Antonio Spurs owner Red McCombs demands for a larger basketball venue, the multi-purpose facility was intended to increase the city's convention traffic and attract a professional football franchise.
HemisFair '68
HemisFair '68 was the official 1968 World's Fair (or International Exposition) held in San Antonio, Texas, from April 6 through October 6, 1968. The theme of the fair was "The Confluence of Civilizations in the Americas", celebrating the many nations which settled region. The fair was held in 1968 to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the founding of San Antonio back in 1718. More than thirty nations and fifteen corporations hosted pavilions at the fair.
HemisFair Arena
HemisFair Arena was an indoor arena, located in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It was also known as the Convention Center Arena. It was home to the ABA / NBA's San Antonio Spurs, from 1973 to 1993 and the San Antonio Force, of the AFL, during the 1992 season, their only year of existence. The Houston Rockets also played home games at the arena during the 1972-73 NBA season.
Tower of the Americas
The Tower of the Americas is a 750-foot observation tower/restaurant on the southeastern fringe of Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. The tower was designed by San Antonio architect O'Neil Ford and was built as the theme structure of the 1968 World's Fair, HemisFair '68. The Tower was the tallest observation tower in the United States from 1968 until 1996, when the Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower was completed. It is also the one of the two tallest skyscrapers in Texas excluding Dallas and Houston.

Battle of Concepción
The Battle of Concepción was fought on October 28, 1835 between Mexican troops under Colonel Domingo Ugartechea and Texian insurgents led by James Bowie and James Fannin. The 30-minute engagement, which historian J.R. Edmondson describes as "the first major engagement of the Texas Revolution", occurred on the grounds of Mission Concepción, 2 miles south of what is now Downtown San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. Grass Fight
The Grass Fight was a small battle during the Texas Revolution, fought between the Mexican Army and the Texian Army. The battle took place on November 25, 1835, just south of San Antonio de Béxar in the Mexican state of Texas. The Texas Revolution had officially begun on October 2 and by the end of the month the Texians had initiated a siege of Béxar, home of the largest Mexican garrison in the province.

The sculpture was presented as a gift from the Mexican government to the City of San Antonio in 2002.

It was also the only hospital with doctor's offices, hospital beds, and a parking garage all in one building. It currently stands as the 10th tallest building in the city.
San Antonio Conservation Society
The San Antonio Conservation Society (SACS) is located in the Bexar County city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. Founding members were Emily Edwards, who became the organization's first president, and Rena Maverick Green. The organization was formed on March 22, 1924, and officially incorporated on July 8, 1925. SACS is currently headquartered in the Anton Wulff House, which they saved from destruction in 1974.
Camp John Wise
Camp John Wise is a former United States Army military garrison, located in San Antonio, Texas. During World War I it was used as a training field for the U. S. Army Balloon Corps between 1917 until 1919. The airfield was one of thirty-two Air Service training camps established in 1918 after the United States entry into World War I. It named for John Wise of Philadelphia, a pioneer balloonist who constructed a balloon in which he set a world distance record in 1869.
