San Antonio
San Antonio is the seventh most populous city in the United States of America and the second most populous city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1.3 million. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000-2010, and the second from 1990-2000. The city is located in the American Southwest, the south–central part of Texas, and the southwestern corner of an urban region known as the Texas Triangle. San Antonio serves as the seat of Bexar County.

HemisFair '68
HemisFair '68 was the official 1968 World's Fair (or International Exposition) held in San Antonio, Texas, from April 6 through October 6, 1968. The theme of the fair was "The Confluence of Civilizations in the Americas", celebrating the many nations which settled region. The fair was held in 1968 to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the founding of San Antonio back in 1718. More than thirty nations and fifteen corporations hosted pavilions at the fair.
HemisFair Arena
HemisFair Arena was an indoor arena, located in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It was also known as the Convention Center Arena. It was home to the ABA / NBA's San Antonio Spurs, from 1973 to 1993 and the San Antonio Force, of the AFL, during the 1992 season, their only year of existence. The Houston Rockets also played home games at the arena during the 1972-73 NBA season.
Tower of the Americas
The Tower of the Americas is a 750-foot observation tower/restaurant on the southeastern fringe of Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. The tower was designed by San Antonio architect O'Neil Ford and was built as the theme structure of the 1968 World's Fair, HemisFair '68. The Tower was the tallest observation tower in the United States from 1968 until 1996, when the Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower was completed. It is also the one of the two tallest skyscrapers in Texas excluding Dallas and Houston.
San Antonio River Walk
The San Antonio River Walk (also known as Paseo del Río) is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. Lined by bars, shops and restaurants, the River Walk is an important part of the city's urban fabric and a tourist attraction in its own right. Today, the River Walk is an enormously successful special-case pedestrian street, one level down from the automobile street.
Grass Fight
The Grass Fight was a small battle during the Texas Revolution, fought between the Mexican Army and the Texian Army. The battle took place on November 25, 1835, just south of San Antonio de Béxar in the Mexican state of Texas. The Texas Revolution had officially begun on October 2 and by the end of the month the Texians had initiated a siege of Béxar, home of the largest Mexican garrison in the province.

Arneson River Theater
Arneson River Theater is an outdoor performance theater located in the San Antonio River Walk in the U.S. state of Texas. The open-air venue was erected in 1939 and was designed by architect Robert Hugman and is named after Edwin Arneson, who was instrumental in securing funding for the Paseo del Rio. The stage is on the north side of river and the audience sits on the grass-covered steps on the south side.

La Antorcha de la Amistad
La Antorcha de la Amistad (Spanish for "The Torch of Friendship") is a monumental abstract sculpture that stands in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, United States of America. The artist of the sculpture is world-renowned Mexican sculptor, Sebastián, and was commissioned by the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (Association of Mexican Businesspeople). The sculpture was presented as a gift from the Mexican government to the City of San Antonio in 2002.

Built in 1878, the five-story building is rich in history and served as the San Antonio Bexar County Jail until 1962. In recent years, before becoming a hotel, the building was a records depot for both the city and county and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The San Antonio Crowne Plaza is a 21 story hotel in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. In 1997, it was converted to a hotel and a silver pyramid was added to the roof, increasing the height of the building to 325 feet. It is the 9th tallest building in the city.
Nix Professional Building
The Nix Professional Building is a 23 story hospital in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. At the time of its completion, this was the largest and tallest hospital in the United States. It was also the only hospital with doctor's offices, hospital beds, and a parking garage all in one building. It currently stands as the 10th tallest building in the city.
San Antonio Conservation Society
The San Antonio Conservation Society (SACS) is located in the Bexar County city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. Founding members were Emily Edwards, who became the organization's first president, and Rena Maverick Green. The organization was formed on March 22, 1924, and officially incorporated on July 8, 1925. SACS is currently headquartered in the Anton Wulff House, which they saved from destruction in 1974.
Hertzberg Clock (San Antonio)
The Hertzberg Clock is an historic landmark and visitor attraction located at the corner of N. St. Mary's and Houston streets in the Bexar County city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. Installed in 1878 in front of Eli Hertzberg Jewelry Company, it was made by E. Howard & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. The freestanding town clock was donated to the San Antonio Conservation Society in 1982 by the daughters of its original owners. Max and Nell Goodman.
Francois P. Giraud
Francois P. Giraud (June 1, 1818 – May 8, 1877) was Mayor of the Bexar County city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. He was also known in San Antonio as Francis P. Giraud. He was born to French immigrants Francois and Adele Giraud in Charleston, South Carolina. The family moved to San Antonio c1847. He attended Maryland's Mount St. Mary's University and furthered his education in Paris, France. He was married to María Apolinaria Treviño.
Camp John Wise
Camp John Wise is a former United States Army military garrison, located in San Antonio, Texas. During World War I it was used as a training field for the U. S. Army Balloon Corps between 1917 until 1919. The airfield was one of thirty-two Air Service training camps established in 1918 after the United States entry into World War I. It named for John Wise of Philadelphia, a pioneer balloonist who constructed a balloon in which he set a world distance record in 1869.
