Memphis Union Station was a passenger terminal in Memphis, Tennessee, serving the Missouri Pacific Railroad, St. Louis Southwestern Railway, Louisville and Nashville Railroad, Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway and Southern Railway. The terminal, completed in 1912, was built in the Beaux-Arts style and was located on Calhoun Street, between south Second Street and Rayburn Boulevard (now south Third Street). Memphis Cotton Exchange
The Memphis Cotton Exchange is located in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, USA, on the corner of Front Street and Union Avenue. It was founded in 1874 as a result of the growing cotton market in Memphis. Cotton merchants of the time became aware of the need for a trade organization to regulate cotton marketing in the city. They were also aware of the many benefits reaped by the New York Cotton Exchange and the New Orleans Cotton Exchange.

Riverside, is one of the many prominent neighborhoods in South Memphis. The neighborhood includes the famous Kansas Street, Carver High, which is on Pennsylvania Street and Martin Luther King Riverside Park. Blair Hunt (1888–1978), the longtime pastor of Mississippi Boulevard Church and the longtime principal of Booker T. Washington High, has a street on the east side of the neighborhood named in his honor. The original location of N.J. Ford And Sons Funeral Home was in this neighborhood.
Tom Lee Park
Tom Lee Park is a city park located to the immediate west of downtown Memphis, Tennessee, overlooking the Mississippi River. Encompassing about 30 acres (0.12 km²) parallel to the Mississippi River for about one mile (1.6 km), it offers panoramic views of the Mississippi River and the shores of Arkansas on the opposite side. The park is named after Tom Lee, an African-American riverworker, who saved the lives of 32 passengers of the sinking steamboat M.E. Norman in 1925.
