Christian Brothers University
Christian Brothers University is the oldest collegiate degree-granting institution in the city of Memphis. The university is run by the Christian Brothers, a Roman Catholic religious order founded by St. John Baptist de la Salle, the patron saint of teachers. It is located in Midtown Memphis near the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium
Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (originally Memphis Memorial Stadium) is a football stadium, located at the Mid-South Fairgrounds, in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The stadium is the site of the annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl, and is the home field of the University of Memphis Tigers football team. It has also been the host of several attempts at professional sports in the city, as well as other local football games and other gatherings.

Lenox, Memphis
Lenox is a neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee. It is bounded by Central Avenue in the south, Union Avenue in the north, Cooper Street in the west and East Parkway South in the east. Prior to 1909, when it was annexed by the City of Memphis, Lenox was its own incorporated municipality. Perhaps one of the most architecturally-significant landmarks in Lenox is Lenox School, which was an elementary school before being converted into condominiums in 1981.
Cooper-Young, Memphis
Cooper-Young is an eclectic neighborhood and historic district in the Midtown section of Memphis, Tennessee, named for the intersection of Cooper Street and Young Avenue. The entrance to the neighborhood is marked by the Cooper-Young Trestle, a 150-foot long steel sculpture which depicts homes and businesses found in the neighborhood. Created by metal artist Jill Turman, the sculpture was dedicated in 2000, and has become a source of community pride and identity.
Zippin Pippin
The Zippin Pippin, formerly called the Pippin, is one of the oldest existing wooden roller coasters in the United States. It was initially constructed in the former East End Park in Memphis, Tennessee in 1912 by John A. Miller and Harry Baker of National Amusement Devices. The construction material was pine wood. As the park declined in popularity, the coaster was dismantled and relocated adjacent to the horse track in Montgomery Park, now known as the Mid-South Fairgrounds.
Libertyland
Libertyland was Memphis, Tennessee's only amusement park. Opened on July 4, 1976, it was located at 940 Early Maxwell Blvd. It was structured under the nonprofit 501(c)4 US tax code. It closed due to financial reasons in 2005.

Tim McCarver Stadium
Tim McCarver Stadium was a stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. It was primarily used for baseball and was the home of the Memphis Blues (1968-1976), the Memphis Chicks (1978-1997), and the Memphis Redbirds (1998-1999). The ballpark had a capacity of 8,800 people and opened in 1963 as an American Legion field. It was first used for professional baseball in 1968. It was named after then-Major League Baseball catcher and current commentator, Tim McCarver.

Memphis Teacher Residency
The Memphis Teacher Residency (MTR) is a member of the Urban Teacher Residency United network located in Memphis, Tennessee. It is a faith-based four-year teacher preparation program based on a residency model. During the first year resident teachers train with a mentor, receive coaching, and take coursework through Union University. After the first year, residents earn a Masters in Urban Education.
