Catoosa County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on December 5, 1853. As of the 2010 census, the population was 63,942. The county seat is Ringgold. Catoosa County is part of the Chattanooga, TN–GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought November 25, 1863, as part of the Chattanooga Campaign of the American Civil War. Lake Winnepesaukah

Hamilton Place (shopping mall)

Hamilton Place is an enclosed, two-story shopping mall in Chattanooga, Tennessee just off I-75. It was the largest shopping mall in the state of Tennessee from 1987 to 1998; at this time, it was superseded in size by Knoxville's West Town Mall. Hamilton Place is considered a sister property to Northgate Mall, located in nearby Hixson. The original anchors were Belk, Parisian, Loveman's, Regal Cinemas 9, and Sears.

Jones Observatory

Clarence T. Jones Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. It is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee (USA). The building was completed in 1936, and opened in 1938. Construction of the observatory and telescope were funded by a Public Works Administration grant for the students of Chattanooga's public schools at the urging of prominent local astronomer Clarence T. Jones.

Battle of Ringgold Gap

The Battle of Ringgold Gap was fought November 27, 1863, in northwest Georgia during the Chattanooga Campaign of the American Civil War. The Confederate victory by Maj. Gen. The Cannon Ball roller coaster is a wooden roller coaster at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park, Lakeview, Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was designed by John C. Allen and opened in 1967 as Lake Winnie's first roller coaster. It is one of three roller coasters at the park, the other two being Wild Lightnin', a steel roller coaster over the lake, and the Wacky Worm, a children's ride. The Cannon Ball is much bigger than the other two.

Northwest Georgia Bank Amphitheatre

The Northwest Georgia Bank Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheater in Ringgold, Georgia that begin construction in 2004 to host live concerts. The venue was constructed using $550,000 in funds from the Northwest Georgia Bank Foundation, and with land donated by the county. The amphitheater opened in 2007 with a three-day Sunset Concert, featuring country artist John Anderson In 2010, Catoosa commissioners awarded management of the facility to Chattanooga-based Palo Duro Presents.

Brainerd Mission

The Brainerd Mission was a Christian mission to the Cherokee in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was established by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in 1817 and named after David Brainerd. It ended with the Cherokee removal in 1838. People such as Ainsworth Blunt and Cephas Washburn worked at this mission. The Brainerd Mission Cemetery is one of the oldest in Hamilton County and consists of 60 graves, most of which are of missionary workers among the Cherokee.
