Oak Hill is a city in Davidson County, Tennessee. The population was 4,529 at the 2010 census. The Tennessee governor's mansion is located in the city. Although the city is administered under the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, it retains its own municipal government.
Battle of Brentwood
The Battle of Brentwood was a battle of the American Civil War, occurring on March 25, 1863, in Williamson County, Tennessee. Union Lt. Col. Edward Bloodgood held Brentwood, a station on the Nashville & Decatur Railroad, with 400 men on the morning of March 25, 1863, when Confederate Brig. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, with a powerful column, approached the town. The day before, Forrest had ordered Col. J.W.
Dyer Observatory
The Dyer Observatory, also known as the Arthur J. Dyer Observatory, is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Vanderbilt University. Built in 1953, it is located in Brentwood, Tennessee, and is the only university facility not located on the main campus in Nashville. The observatory is named after Arthur J. Dyer, who paid for the observatory's 24-foot -wide dome, and houses a 24-inch reflecting telescope named for astronomer Carl Seyfert.
John Overton Comprehensive High School

Radnor Lake State Natural Area

Conservation Hall was part of a controversial renovation of the Tennessee Governor's Mansion. It is a 14,000-square-foot subterranean meeting and banqueting facility built under the front lawn of the Tennessee Residence. It brings the Tennessee Residence up to modern standards for State receptions and dinners with its ability to seat up to 160 people. The centerpiece of Conservation Hall is the glass-walled oval atrium and courtyard that opens to the sky.
