Homestake Mine (South Dakota)
The Homestake Mine was a deep underground gold mine located in Lead, South Dakota. Until it closed in 2002 it was the largest and deepest gold mine in North America, producing more than 40 million ounces (approximately 1.25 million kilograms) of gold. The Homestake Mine is famous in scientific circles for being the site at which the solar neutrino problem was first discovered. This became known as the Homestake Experiment. The deep underground laboratory was set up by Raymond Davis Jr.
Nuttal & Mann's
Nuttal & Mann’s was a saloon located in Deadwood, southern Dakota Territory. It was noted for being the death-place of James Butler Hickok (better known as "Wild Bill" Hickok). It was later renamed the "No. 10 Saloon". The current No. 10 Saloon is not at the same location as the original Nuttal & Mann's.
Homestake experiment
The Homestake experiment (sometimes referred to as the Davis experiment) was an experiment headed by astrophysicists Raymond Davis, Jr. and John N. Bahcall in the late 1960s. Its purpose was to collect and count neutrinos emitted by nuclear fusion taking place in the Sun. Bahcall did the theoretical calculations and Davis designed the experiment. After Bahcall calculated the rate at which the detector should capture neutrinos, Davis's experiment turned up only one third of this figure.

Black Hills Gold Rush
The Black Hills Gold Rush took place in Dakota Territory in the United States. It began in 1874 following the Custer Expedition and reached a peak in 1876-77. Rumors and poorly documented reports of gold in the Black Hills go back to the early 19th century. In the 1860s, Roman Catholic missionary Father De Smet is reported to have seen Sioux Indians carrying gold which they told him came from the Black Hills.
Bullock Hotel
The historic Bullock Hotel is located at the corner of Wall and Main Street in Deadwood, South Dakota. It was built by Seth Bullock, the first sheriff of Deadwood, and his business partner Sol Star, in around 1895 at a cost of $40,000 and is the oldest hotel in Deadwood boasting a Casino, Restaurant, and 28 of its original 63 rooms.
KTPT
KTPT, known as "97.9 The Point", is a radio station serving Rapid City, South Dakota and the surrounding region. The station airs a mix of upbeat, positive themed music. 97.9 The Point is owned by Bethesda Christian Broadcasting. 97.9 The Point signed onto the air on February 17, 2005 on 88.3 FM. In April 2007, KTPT switched dial positions with KLMP.

Terry Peak
Terry Peak is a mountain and ski area in the Black Hills outside of Lead, South Dakota, USA. It is the third highest point (the other two are also in the Black Hills) east of the Rockies in the continental United States. Terry Peak was first used as a ski area in 1936 by the Bald Mountain Ski Club when a rope tow was installed. The first chair lift was installed in 1952 and began operation in 1954. Terry Peak has since seen many upgrades in chair lifts, trails, and accommodations.

KDSJ is a radio station broadcasting a full-service format. Licensed to Deadwood, South Dakota, USA, the station serves the Rapid City area. The station is currently owned by Goldrush Broadcasting, Inc. The station has had several studio locations since its debut in 1947. In 1952, the station moved to the present location, a former funeral home, at 745 Main Street in Deadwood. Its two tower transmitter site is east of town, off Highway 14A.

Adams Museum & House
Adams Museum & House, was built in Deadwood, South Dakota, United States, in 1930 by Deadwood businessman and former mayor W.E. Adams as a tribute to the Black Hills pioneers and in remembrance of his deceased first wife and two daughters. The museum was a gift to the city of Deadwood and it remains city property to this day. It is located at 54 Sherman Street. Deadwood's Adams Museum is considered the Black Hills' oldest history museum.
