North Augusta is a city in Aiken County, South Carolina, United States, on the north bank of the Savannah River. The population was 21,348 at the 2010 census. The city is included in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and is also part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area.
Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament, also known as The Masters or The US Masters is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, it is the first of the majors to be played each year. Butt Memorial Bridge
The Butt Memorial Bridge is a road bridge in Augusta, Georgia dedicated to Major Archibald Willingham Butt, a victim of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. The bridge was erected in 1914 and dedicated by President William Howard Taft, a personal friend of Butt's. It is notable that the bridge was the first memorial erected to remember the Titanic disaster, and it stands today as the only memorial in Georgia dedicated to the disaster.

2008 Masters Tournament
The 2008 Masters Tournament was a golf competition held at Augusta National Golf Club from April 10–13. It was the 72nd Masters Tournament, and the first major of the 2008 season. Trevor Immelman won with a score of 280 (–8), three strokes ahead of runner-up Tiger Woods, a four-time champion. Defending champion Zach Johnson finished tied for 20th at 291 (+3). The annual Par 3 contest, which is held on the Wednesday before the first round, was won by Rory Sabbatini.
Sibley Mill
The Sibley Mill is a historic building located on the Augusta Canal at 1717 Goodrich Street near downtown Augusta, Georgia. Designed by Jones S. Davis, it was built on a site previously occupied by the Confederate Powderworks, and was completed in 1882. While the interior is typical of any textile mill of the period, its imposing exterior is notable for an ornate style variously described as eclectic and neo-gothic.
1953 Masters Tournament
The 1953 Masters Tournament was the 17th Masters Tournament, held April 9 to April 12 at Augusta National Golf Club. Ben Hogan shattered the Masters Tournament scoring record by five strokes with a 274 (–14), which stood for 12 years, until Jack Nicklaus shot 271 in 1965. Hogan shot four rounds of 70 or better, and went on to win the U.S. Open by six strokes in June and the British Open by four in July. Through 2012, it remains the only time these three majors were won in the same calendar year.
University Hospital (Augusta, Georgia)

At age 40, Lee Elder became the first African-American to compete at the tournament.
