North Smithfield, Rhode Island
North Smithfield is a town in Providence County, Rhode Island, United States, settled as a farming community in 1666 and incorporated into its present form in 1871. North Smithfield includes the historic villages of Forestdale, Primrose, Waterford, Branch Village, Union Village, Park Square, and Slatersville. The population was 11,967 at the 2010 census.

The historic district runs east and west along Main Street and north on Maple Avenue. It has also hosted numerous events for Rhode Island High School State Championships, as well as most state football camps. The centerpiece of Bryant University's athletic facilities, Bulldog Stadium was completed in 1999 to coincide with the varsity debut of Bryant football.

The village takes its name from the Primrose railroad station which existed on Greenville Road for the Providence and Springfield Railroad which began service in 1873. Branch Village, Rhode Island
Branch Village is a village located on Rhode Island Route 146A ("Great Road") near the intersection of St. Paul Street in North Smithfield. The village takes its name from the Branch River which runs through it. In 1795 Elisha Bartlett of Glocester built a scythe and tool mill in Branch Village powered by the river. After his death in 1805, the mill was expanded to manufacture cotton.

The facility was opened in 2000 and has a capacity of 500 spectators. It features an electronic scoreboard, bullpens, and dugouts. In 2008, batting cages were added adjacent to the field. Also, the infield has recently been renovated.
