Conshohocken is a borough on the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in suburban Philadelphia. Historically a large mill town and industrial and manufacturing center, after the decline of industry in recent years Conshohocken has developed into a center of riverfront commercial and residential development. It is commonly referred to by its colloquial nickname, Conshy.
West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
West Conshohocken is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,462 in 1880; 2,482 in 1950; 1,516 in 1980; 1,294 in 1990; and 1,320 at the 2010 census. Its sister community is Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, located across the Schuylkill River. Montgomery County's seat, Norristown, is located approximately two miles north of, and across the river from, West Conshohocken.

Conshohocken is a station located along the SEPTA Manayunk/Norristown Line. The station, located below Fayette St, at Washington and Harry Streets in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, includes a 95-space parking lot. Station is only open Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 12:30 pm, when tickets are sold. Station is closed in the evening rush hour, providing no indoor refuge in cold or inclement weather when it is frequently closed.
Harriton High School
Harriton High School is a public secondary school located in Rosemont, Lower Merion Township, in Philadelphia's Main Line suburbs, USA. Harriton is one of two high schools in the Lower Merion School District; the other is Lower Merion High School. Originally, Harriton was the smaller of the high schools, containing approximately 900 students in 9th through 12th grades. After redistricting, the schools are now comparable in size, with Harriton having nearly 1,100 students.
Appleford/Parsons-Banks Arboretum
Appleford/Parsons-Banks Arboretum (24 acres) is a non-profit arboretum and country estate located at 770 Mount Moro Road, Villanova, Pennsylvania. Appelford began in 1682 with William Penn's grant of 100 acres to James Moore. In 1728 Robert Jones erected a one-story stone farmhouse on the site, parts of which still stand. The house was enlarged and updated over the years, and the property grew to be as large as 800 acres before it was broken up circa 1900.
Battle of Matson's Ford
The Battle of Matson's Ford was a battle in the Philadelphia campaign of the American Revolutionary War fought on December 11, 1777 in the area surrounding Matson's Ford. In this series of minor skirmish actions, advance patrols of Pennsylvania militia encountered a British foraging expedition and were overrun. The British pushed ahead to Matson's Ford, where units of the Continental Army were making their way across the Schuylkill River.
1939 U.S. Open (golf)
The 1939 U.S. Open was the 43rd U.S. Open. The golf tournament was held June 8–12, 1939 at Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, a suburb northwest of Philadelphia. Byron Nelson won after two playoff rounds to prevail against Craig Wood and Denny Shute to claim his only U.S. Open title, and the second of his five major championships. It was the first playoff at the U.S. Open in eight years and the first three-way playoff since 1913.
