Lackawanna College
Lackawanna College (formerly Lackawanna Junior College, originally Scranton Business College) is a college in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with satellite centers in the towns of Hazleton, Hawley, Towanda, and New Milford. The college began as a proprietary institution with a full academic program under the direction of H.D. Buck and A.R. Whitmore. John H. Seeley, a noted regional educator, purchased it in 1912.

Scranton State School for the Deaf was a residential school for the deaf established in 1880 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. Its students ranged in age from 3 to 18. At the end of the 2008-09 school year, the school was turned over from state management to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. The new school was renamed Scranton School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children.
