Baldwin Locomotive Works
The Baldwin Locomotive Works was an American builder of railroad (railway) locomotives. It was located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, originally, and later in nearby Eddystone, Pennsylvania. Although the company was very successful as a producer of steam locomotives, its transition to the production of diesels was far less so. Later, when the early demand for diesel locomotives to replace steam tapered off, Baldwin could not compete in the marketplace.

Widener University
Widener University is a private, coeducational university located in Chester, Pennsylvania. Its main campus sits on 108 acres (.44 km²), just 14 miles southwest of Philadelphia. The university has three other campuses: two in Pennsylvania and one in Wilmington, Delaware. About 3,300 undergraduates and 3,300 graduate students attend Widener in eight degree-granting schools.

WDNR, known as 89.5 Widener University, is a college radio station which broadcasts in the Philadelphia area via a transmitter that covers a 10-mile radius around Chester, PA. WDNR can also be listened to on the internet via an online stream. The station broadcasts a wide variety of music. WDNR currently is run by General Manager Mark Benedetto and his executive staff. 2008 marked the stations 40th Anniversary. WDNR continues to be an important component of Widener University.

Prospect Park is a station along the SEPTA Wilmington/Newark Line and Amtrak Northeast Corridor. Amtrak does not stop here; only SEPTA serves this station. The station, located at Lincoln and Maryland Avenues in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, includes a 44-space parking lot. Like the nearby Norwood Station, Prospect Park Station is located right next to the town's library, in this case the Prospect Park Public Library. It is also located near the Borough Hall.

It is located at Hinckley & Morton Avenues in Ridley Park, PA, and contains a one-story station house similar to that of Media Regional Rail Station built into the embankment next to a platform, as well as a passenger drop-off area at Hinckley Avenue and Lincoln Street.
Crum Lynne (SEPTA station)
Crum Lynne is a station on the SEPTA Wilmington/Newark Line. Though the station sits along the Northeast Corridor, it is not served by any Amtrak intercity services. The station, located at West Chester Pike & West Ridley Avenue, Ridley Park, PA, includes a 14-space parking lot. Sheltered platforms exist on both West Ridley Avenue and West Chester Pike.

Eddystone is a station along the SEPTA Wilmington/Newark Line and Amtrak Northeast Corridor. Amtrak does not stop here, only SEPTA serves this station. Eddystone is a borough in Delaware County. The area of Eddystone is rather historic, home to the Baldwin Locomotive Works, which built 100,000+ steam, diesel, and electric locomotives until the mid-1950s. The station, located at Industrial Highway & Saville Avenue, includes a 12-space parking lot.
Swarthmore (SEPTA station)
Swarthmore is a station along the SEPTA Media/Elwyn Line, on the former Pennsylvania Railroad's West Chester Line. It is located on Chester Road between downtown Swarthmore and the edge of the Swarthmore College campus (2 South Chester Road at Chester Road and Park Avenue, Swarthmore, PA 19081). Dollar-a-day parking and permit parking are available. It is the first outward bound Zone 3 station from the central Philadelphia stations.
Harrah's Philadelphia
Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack is a racino on the Chester, Pennsylvania waterfront. The track's first harness racing season opened on September 10, 2006. Wagering is available on live horse races from April 23 to November 23 on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and some Fridays; or via simulcast from other racetracks all year round. The .625 miles racetrack has a limestone-based surface.

Widener University Observatory
The Widener University Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Widener University, but donated by NASA. It is located in Kirkbride Hall on Widener's main campus in Chester, Pennsylvania. The observatory is intended for student use and research within the physics and astronomy department. In addition, public viewing sessions occur throughout the year that are opened to the surrounding community.
Leiper Canal
Early in the 19th century, the Leiper Canal ran about 3 miles along Crum Creek in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. George Leiper, who financed the canal, used it between 1829 and 1852 to haul stone in flat-bottomed boats from his quarry near Springfield to the navigable Delaware River at Eddystone. The system, which had three locks, replaced an industrial tramway.

Swarthmore High School
Swarthmore High School was a four-year public high school in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania serving the Boroughs of Swarthmore and Rutledge. Swarthmore established its own independent school district when Swarthmore Borough incorporated in 1893. The Swarthmore and Rutledge School Districts merged in 1955. In 1971 the Swarthmore-Rutledge District merged with adjacent Nether Providence School District to create the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.
