Pennsylvania State Senate
The Pennsylvania State Senate has been meeting since 1791. It is the upper house of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the Pennsylvania state legislature. The State Senate meets in the State Capitol building in Harrisburg. Senators are elected for four year terms, staggered every two years such that half of the seats are contested at each election. Even numbered seats and odd numbered seats are contested in separate election years.
Dauphin County Law Library
The Dauphin County Law Library was established by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1865 and has been housed in its present location at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Law Library now has approximately 35,000 volumes, down from the 47,000. These volumes focus on statute and case law for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal Courts. The Library houses all of the published opinions of judges in each county.

Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts
Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The center is the first complex of its kind in the United States to use science as an entry to the arts. Whitaker Center exhibits science, the performing arts, and an IMAX theater under one roof. The center encompasses a total of 130,000 square feet, including the three main components, plus STAGE TWO, Discovery Lab classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, the AMP Grand Lobby and the Kunkel Gallery.
Skyline Sports Complex
Skyline Sports Complex is a sports complex/stadium on City Island, along the Susquehanna River, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The original structure was built in 1987 and is adjacent to Metro Bank Park. The complex/stadium hosts numerous events annually and is the home stadium for the Harrisburg City Islanders soccer team. It was formerly home to the Central Penn Piranha football team.

The museum is housed in the former 1899 Victorian firehouse Reily Hose Company No. 10, of the city of Harrisburg.
Capital Area School for the Arts
The Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA) is an arts magnet school (soon to be full time Charter School) located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. It was founded in 2001 as a partnership between the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and Open Stage of Harrisburg. After first moving through several sites in downtown Harrisburg, the school now resides in its permanent location in the first floor of Strawberry Square.
Pennsylvania Governor's Residence
The Pennsylvania Governor's Mansion is the official residence of the Governor of Pennsylvania and his family, in the Uptown neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was built from 1966 to 1968 and designed by George M. Ewing, owner of an architectural firm in Philadelphia. The Mansion is home to two Steinway grand pianos used for concerts and to entertain dinner guests. Every year the Mansion is opened for special holiday season tours.
Dauphin County Veteran's Memorial Obelisk
Inspired by the classic Roman/Egyptian obelisk form, Dauphin County Veteran's Memorial Obelisk was originally erected in the middle of a park located at the North Second and State Streets intersection of downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from 1866 to 1876 as a tribute to Dauphin County’s Civil War soldiers. It stands 110 feet (33.5 meters) high, weighs over 600 tons, and was cut from stone taken from the banks of the nearby Susquehanna River.
Riverfront Park (Harrisburg)
Riverfront Park is a public park in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The park runs parallel to the Susquehanna River between the shoreline and Front Street, from Vaughn Street South to Paxton Street. Riverfront Park offers picturesque views of the river, City Island, Wormleysburg and Blue Mountain in the distance. Riverfront Park is also part of the Capital Area Greenbelt.
American MusicFest
The American MusicFest is a music festival that takes place Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Fourth of July weekend every year. It is the state's largest Independence Day weekend music festival. PRR 4859
PRR 4859 is a GG1-class electric locomotive located in the Harrisburg Transportation Center in Harrisburg in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad and its successors, Penn Central and Conrail. 4859 pulled the first electrically powered train from Philadelphia to Harrisburg on January 15, 1938. It was used in various freight and passenger service until November 22, 1979, when it pulled the last GG1-powered freight train on November 22, 1979.
Market Square, Harrisburg
Harrisburg's Market Square is located in Downtown Harrisburg at the intersection of 2nd and Market Streets. The square was created in 1785. Since then, it has traditionally been the heart of the city, and since the 1980s has undergone a revival with several new commercial, residential and retail spaces either planned or built. It is one block from Riverfront Park and the Market Street Bridge, which crosses over the Susquehanna River.

Holocaust Memorial for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
The Holocaust Memorial for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is a Holocaust memorial at Front and Sayford Streets along Riverfront Park, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was conceived by a committee of Holocaust survivors in 1992 representing the Jewish Community Center of Harrisburg. In light of publicity given to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, a group of survivors that had lived in the Harrisburg area pressed for a local memorial.
St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)
St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral is a cathedral of the Episcopal Church in the United States. It is the motherchurch of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and is the seat of its bishop. The Cathedral, Cathedral House and Chapter House are located on Front Street in Downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania along the Susquehanna River. St. Stephen's School is just around the corner on Cranberry Street. The nave of the church was constructed in 1826 and can seat about 300 people.
