Schlusser is a census-designated place (CDP) in North Middleton Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,265 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.
United States Army War College
The United States Army War College is a United States Army school located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on the 500 acre (2 km²) campus of the historic Carlisle Barracks. It caters to high-level military personnel and civilians and prepares them for strategic leadership responsibilities.
Carlisle Indian Industrial School
Carlisle Indian Industrial School (1879–1918) was an Indian boarding school in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1879 by Captain Richard Henry Pratt, the school was the first off-reservation boarding school, and it became a model for Indian boarding schools in other locations. The Strategic Studies Institute (SSI) is the U.S. Army's institute for strategic and national security research and analysis. It is part of the U.S. Army War College. U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center
The United States Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC), in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, is the U.S. Army's primary historical research facility. Formed in 1999, the center consists of the Military History Institute (MHI), the Army Heritage Museum (AHM), the U.S. Army Conservation Center, and the Visitor and Education Services. The Army Heritage and Education Center is part of the U.S. Army War College, but has its own 56-acre campus in Middlesex Township nearby Carlisle Barracks.
Old West, Dickinson College
Old West, Dickinson College is a building designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe in 1803 and completed in 1822. It was the original building of Dickinson College. The construction of Old West, known then as 'New College,' was authorized and began in 1798. The effort was in response to the complaints that students could not live at the College. On June 20, 1799, the first cornerstone was laid by John Keen of Carpenters Co. , Philadelphia.
