Duquesne Gardens

Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden
The Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden (0.3 acres) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Shadyside section is a Biblical botanical garden. Opened and free to the public since 1987 from June 1 through September 15. It now displays more than 100 plants once grown in ancient Israel, including cedars, dates, figs, olives, and pomegranates. All are labeled with biblical verses. The garden also includes a waterfall, desert, and a representation of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea.
Peabody High School (Pennsylvania)
Peabody High School was a public school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the neighborhood of East Liberty. The school opened in 1911 after the renovations of a former elementary school and was rededicated in honor of Highland Park doctor Benjamin Peabody. Saint Mary Cemetery is a Roman Catholic burial ground located at 45th and Penn Avenues in the Central Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. It is adjacent (just south) of the city's slightly older and much larger Allegheny Cemetery. A chain-link fence separates the two cemeteries. The 44-acre tract of land was established as a cemetery in 1849 at a cost of $20,000, six years after the founding of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.

James Wallace Conant (August 10, 1862 - March 14, 1906) was an amusement manager who later became the manager of the Schenley Park Casino, as well as the first manager of the Duquesne Gardens, the first indoor ice rinks in the city of Pittsburgh. Conant is credited with bringing the sport of ice hockey to Pittsburgh, since the indoor ice rinks lured many Canadian players to the city.
