Mount Oliver, Pennsylvania
Mount Oliver is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a largely residential area situated atop a crest about 3 miles west of the Monongahela River. The borough is surrounded entirely by the city of Pittsburgh. It is named for Oliver Ormsby, son of John Ormsby, who held the original land grant for the area from George III. Mount Oliver has experienced some tough times of late which are associated with the slippage of the steel-making capacity of the Pittsburgh region.

Carlow University is a Roman Catholic university founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, on September 24, 1929, by the Sisters of Mercy from Carlow, Ireland. Originally called Mount Mercy College, the name was changed to Carlow College in April 1969. In 2004, Carlow College achieved university status. Palumbo Center
A. J. Palumbo Center is a 4,406-seat multi-purpose arena in the Uptown area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania served by exits on both Interstate 376 and Interstate 579. The arena opened in 1988, and is part of Duquesne University. It is home to the Duquesne Dukes basketball, volleyball and wrestling programs. The center hosts concerts, boxing, and other special events, and is capable of converting the seating arrangement into a sport, stage, or theatre setup.
South Tenth Street Bridge

St. Peter's Episcopal Church (Pittsburgh)
St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was an early example of the archaeological phase of Gothic Revival architecture, designed by the Philadelphia architect John Notman. It was originally built in 1851 at the corner of Grant and Diamond as an overflow church or "chapel of ease" for Trinity Episcopal. The church and its site were purchased by Henry Clay Frick. The building itself was donated back to the congregation.

UPMC Mercy
UPMC Mercy is a main hospital facility of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and is located in the Uptown section of the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, adjacent to downtown Pittsburgh and a few blocks from the Consol Energy Center. It is the first chartered hospital to have been founded in the city of Pittsburgh and it is also the first hospital in the world to have been established by the Sisters of Mercy.
Fort Jones (Mount Oliver)
Fort Jones, with its companion, Fort Laughlin were Civil War redoubts, built by the employees of Jones and Laughlin Steel in June and July 1863 for the defense of Pittsburgh from a suspected invasion by Confederate troops. It is named for Benjamin Franklin Jones, a local businessman. Fort Jones occupied the top of a hill in Mount Oliver, Pennsylvania. It was totally destroyed in 1868, and became the site of St. Joseph's Church at 438 Ormsby Street, for which the site was originally purchased.
Fort Laughlin
Fort Laughlin was an Civil War redoubt, built in 1863 for the defense of Pittsburgh by the employees of Jones and Laughlin Iron Works, and named for James H. Laughlin. It was also known as Fort McKinley or Fort Ormsby. Fort Robert Smalls
Fort Robert Smalls was a Civil War redoubt built by free Blacks for the defense of Pittsburgh in 1863. It stood at the top of McGuire's Hill at the mouth of Becks Run in Arlington Heights. St. Clair Village
St. Clair Village is a public housing project of the Pittsburgh Housing Authority. Originally built in the 1950s, with 680 apartments, it fell into disrepair and financial difficulty along with much public housing in the city and was completely demolished in September 2010 It occupied the area of Pittsburgh also known as St. Clair.
