Operated by regional public transit authority TriMet, the facility opened in 1988 as a bus transit center, while a station for service from the Westside Express Service (WES) commuter rail line opened in 2009. The station is the middle stop of the five-station, 14.7-mile line that runs from the city of Beaverton in the north to Wilsonville in the south.

Tigard Public Library is the library within Washington County Cooperative Library Services serving Tigard, Oregon. The library was established in 1963 as a Junior Women's League project, with a collection stored at City Hall. From 1976–1986 the library occupied a former mattress factory on Main Street.
