University of Oklahoma

The University of Oklahoma (OU) is a coeducational public research university located in Norman, Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, it had existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory for 17 years before the two became the state of Oklahoma. As of 2007 the university had 29,931 students enrolled, most located at its main campus in Norman.

Norman (Amtrak station)

The Norman Depot serves a dual function in the Norman, Oklahoma, community. As a passenger rail station it is served by Amtrak's Heartland Flyer and as a community center it houses the Norman Performing Arts Studio, a non-profit arts association. Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts

The Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts is the fine arts unit of the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Currently, the College has an enrollment of 799 undergraduates and 228 graduate students. The college produces nearly 300 concerts, recitals, dramas, musicals, operas and dance performances each year. The college occupies several buildings on campus including the Museum of Art, Donald W. McCasland Field House

The McCasland Field House is a multi-purpose indoor arena on the University of Oklahoma main campus in Norman, Oklahoma. Home of the basketball Sooners until 1975, the Field House currently hosts the men's wrestling, women's volleyball, and men's and women's gymnastics teams. The Field House is named for T. Howard McCasland, a two-sport star who was the captain of the 1916 basketball team and an end for the football team.

Memorial Union (University of Oklahoma)

The Oklahoma Memorial Union (OMU) is the University of Oklahoma's student union, or student activity center. The Union was completed in 1928 as a memorial to the students, faculty, and staff of the University who fought and died in World War I. The Union has more than 26 meeting and activity rooms and eight dining kiosks. The Meacham Auditorium has 400 seats, and the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom, on the third floor, seats up to 500 banquet guests.

Norman Music Festival

Norman Music Festival (NMF) is an annual three-day American music festival that takes place in downtown Norman, Oklahoma. Each year the festival highlights performances from many different genres of music. The festival includes both indoor and outdoor venues with musicians performing throughout the days and nights. Founded in 2008, the music festival has grown to include food and art from local vendors. In 2010 over 38,000 people attended the festival, which is free to the public.
