University of Akron
The University of Akron is a coeducational public research university located in Akron, Ohio, United States. The university is part of the University System of Ohio. It was founded in 1870 as a small college affiliated with the Universalist Church. In 1913 ownership was transferred to the City of Akron. In 1967 the university became a state institution. The University of Akron is regarded as a world leader in polymer research.

Chapel Hill Mall is a one-story, 860,000 sq ft enclosed mall located at 2000 Brittain Road in Akron, Ohio. They continued to own the mall until 2004, when it was sold to the Chattanooga, Tennessee company CBL & Associates Properties, Inc.. The mall features more than 100 stores, with three anchor stores in JCPenney, Sears and Macy's.

All-America Bridge
The All-America Bridge in Akron, Ohio is a viaduct carrying Ohio State Route 261 over the Little Cuyahoga River that splits into a one-way pair. Constructed 1981–1982, the bridge was named in recognition of Akron's past All-America City Awards and is also locally known as the Y-Bridge. The bridge is 134 feet tall in its highest location. The bridge's predecessor, the 1922 North Hill Viaduct, was closed in 1977 after a collapse killed three.
