Scioto River
The Scioto River is a river in central and southern Ohio more than 231 miles (372 km) in length. It rises in Auglaize County in west central Ohio, flows through Columbus, Ohio, where it collects its largest tributary, the Olentangy River, and meets the Ohio River at Portsmouth. Too small for modern commercial shipping, its primary economic importance is for recreation and drinking water.
U.S. Grant Bridge
The U.S. Grant Bridge is the name of the two bridges that carry and have carried traffic on U.S. Route 23 between Portsmouth, Ohio and South Shore, Kentucky across the Ohio River in the United States. The original bridge was closed and demolished in 2001 and its replacement opened on October 16, 2006.

Spartan Municipal Stadium
Spartan Municipal Stadium, formerly known as Universal Stadium, is a stadium in Portsmouth, Ohio. It hosted the NFL's Portsmouth Spartans from 1930 to 1933, as well as local high school teams. The stadium held 8,200 people at its peak and was built in 1930. In 1970, it was renamed Spartan Municipal Stadium. On October 5, 2003, the stadium was designated at a state historical site. The stadium is owned by the City of Portsmouth.

Portsmouth High School (PHS) is a public high school in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio, United States. PHS's mascot are the Trojans, and their school colors are red and blue. PHS has served the city since its founding in the 1830s and is the public high school in the city. Portsmouth City School District is notable for having a storied basketball tradition. In 2000, Portsmouth voters passed a much needed school bond issue, which helped construct new schools for the district.

WHRR-LP is a defunct radio station formerly licensed to Portsmouth, Ohio, USA. The station was owned by Holy Redeemer Church and broadcast a religious format. The station was one of the first LPFM radio stations licensed in Ohio by the FCC. On June 18, 2012, the licensee requested that the station's license be cancelled and its call sign was deleted from the Federal Communications Commission's database.

WPAY (1400 AM, "Talk 14") was an American radio station licensed to serve the community of Portsmouth, Ohio. The station was last owned by Douglas L. Braden and the final broadcast license was held by Radio Stations WPAY/WPFB, Inc. Established in 1935, the station fell silent in June 2011 and its license was revoked in June 2012.
