Mahoning County is a county located in the state of Ohio. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 238,823, which is a decrease of 7.3% from 257,555 in 2000. It is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, OH-PA Metropolitan Area. Its county seat is Youngstown and the county is named for an Indian word meaning "salt lick".

Austintown Fitch High School (aka Fitch, AFHS or sometimes FHS) is a public high school in Austintown, Ohio, near Youngstown. It is the only high school in the Austintown Local School District. The school nickname is the Falcons, with mascots being Freddie and Frieda Falcon. They were a member of the Federal League, but as of the 2011-2012 school year, are a member of the White Division of the All-American Conference in all sports except football, where they will become an Independent.

Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio
Calvary Cemetery is located at 248 Belle Vista Avenue on the west side of Youngstown, Ohio. The cemetery is maintained by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. The cemetery is one of four cemeteries the Diocese oversees in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Stark counties. Stretching over 150 acres, Calvary is one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in the tri-county area, with some graves dating back to the early 19th century in the older sections of the cemetery.

The Canfield Fairgrounds hosts the annual Mahoning County Fair which has been held annually for 163 years. It is located in the city of Canfield, Ohio, USA, which is outside of Youngstown, Ohio. It is noted as one of the largest county fairs in the state of Ohio. The fair was established in 1864 by the county Agricultural & Horticultural Society and was held on the commons. Boardman Ice Zone
The Boardman Ice Zone is a 1,000-seat ice-arena located in Boardman, Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown, Ohio. The Ice Zone has two ice rinks an NHL regulation-sized ice sheets and one Olympic-sized ice sheet. The main sheet of ice sheet seats 1,000 fans. It is also the home to the Youngstown State Penguins men's ice hockey team competing at the ACHA Division I level in the College Hockey Mid-America.
Meander Creek Reservoir
Meander Creek Reservoir is a lake located in Mahoning County and Trumbull County near Austintown, Ohio. The Meander Creek Reservoir is Youngstown and one of Akron's Water sources (Akron has more than one water sources over in Portage and Geauga Counties). The reservoir's south end continues as a little river going southward. The reservoir is also managed by the Mahoning County Sanitary District. Hunting, Boating and fishing are prohibited.
