Eastlake is a city in Lake County, Ohio, United States. The population was 18,577 at the 2010 census. Ted Andrzejewski is the current mayor of Eastlake. Eastlake is the site where Akron-based FirstEnergy's Eastlake Generating Station shutdown at 1:31pm EDT on August 14, 2003, eventually leading to the infamous 2003 North America blackout a few hours later.

Squire's Castle

Squire's Castle is a shell of a building located in the North Chagrin Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. It was built in the 1890s by Feargus B. Squire for use as the gatekeeper's house for his future country estate, which was never built. Squire, a founder of Standard Oil Company, bought the surrounding 525 acres of land but never completed the project. Squire sold the property in 1922 and the Cleveland Metroparks acquired it in 1925.

Classic Park

Classic Park is a stadium in Eastlake, Ohio, in suburban Cleveland. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Lake County Captains minor league baseball team. It was built in 2003 at a cost of $22 million and holds 7,273 people. Although not immediately apparent to non-locals, the stadium bears a corporate name.
