It is named for Walter Schmidt, Class of 1905, a benefactor to then-St. Xavier College who also donated money for Schmidt Hall (formerly the library, now the President's office) on campus.
Corcoran Stadium
Corcoran Stadium was a stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. It hosted the Xavier University Musketeers football team until the school dropped football due to financial reasons in 1973. The stadium held 15,000 people when it opened in 1929. The stadium was finally razed in 1988 after attempts to revive the program in Division III failed. Corcoran Stadium also played host to one NFL game on October 7, 1934 when the Cincinnati Reds (NFL) took on the Chicago Cardinals.
Annwood Park
Annwood Park is a Cincinnati park in the East Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, owned and operated by the Cincinnati Park Board. A small park, Annwood was donated to Cincinnati in 1966 and added expanded in 1969. The park is never to be resold and contains no playgrounds or picnic area, as part of the donation agreement. The park is only for walking and sitting, and contains a grotto waterfall and memorial plaque in honor of a local Korean War veteran.
J. Page Hayden Field
J. Page Hayden Field is a baseball venue in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is home to the Xavier Musketeers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. Since 2006, the Cincinnati Steam of the collegiate summer Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League have also used Hayden Field. The facility was dedicated in 1982 for J. Page Hayden, under whose name a donation for the field's renovation was made. It has a capacity of 500 spectators.
