Five County Stadium
Five County Stadium is the home of the Carolina Mudcats of the Carolina League. The ballpark, which was opened in 1991 and extensively renovated in 1999, has a capacity of 6,500. The stadium's name comes from its location – the stadium proper is located in Wake County, North Carolina, but it is in close proximity to the intersection of the county lines between Wake, Franklin, Nash, and Johnston Counties, and Wilson County is also in the general area of the stadium.
WETC
WETC is an AM station licensed to both Wendell and Zebulon, North Carolina on 540. WETC, whose call letters stand for "We Entertain Tobacco Country", was a long-time country station featuring The J. Donavon Show in the late 1980s. In 1992, WETC became the first area radio station to program to the Triangle's burgeoning Spanish-speaking community, going completely Spanish by the late 1990s.

East Wake High School

Southeastern Free Will Baptist College
Southeastern Free Will Baptist College is a college of the Free Will Baptist denonimation located in Wendell, North Carolina. It was begun in Virginia Beach, Virginia at Gateway FWB Church and was moved to Wendell, during the 1980s in order for the college to maintain a more central location. Jim Marcum became the most recent President of the college in 2012, replacing Dr. Lorenza Stox, and Pastor Dann Patrick is Chairman of the Board of Trustees composed of various FWB (and Baptist) ministers.
