Carpenter, North Carolina
Carpenter is a small community located in western Wake County, North Carolina. Carpenter is centered around the intersection of Carpenter-Upchurch Road and Morrisville-Carpenter Road just east of North Carolina Highway 55. Most of Carpenter has been annexed by the Town of Cary. The Koka Booth Amphitheatre is a performing arts amphitheatre in Cary, North Carolina. The venue was formerly known as The Amphitheatre at Regency Park prior to the town's decision to name it after former Cary mayor Koka Booth. Lake Crabtree
Lake Crabtree is a 520-acre reservoir in Cary, North Carolina. USA Baseball National Training Complex
The USA Baseball National Training Complex is located in western Cary, North Carolina, off of Green Hope School Road. The Town of Cary was selected to be the new home of USA Baseball in 2002. Cary Parkway
The Cary Parkway (SR 3977) is a major semi-circular route through Cary, North Carolina. The parkway serves approximately as Cary's outer ring highway, though it does not form a complete circle like the inner ring, Maynard Road. Viewing a map of the city as a clock-face, Cary Parkway extends counterclockwise approximately from the 1 o'clock position in the northeast down to the 5 o'clock position in the southeast.
Bond Park
Fred G. Bond Metropolitan park is the largest municipal park in Cary, North Carolina. It is also one of the largest municipal parks in Wake County. It has 310 acres of recreational space, 4.2 miles of trails, and a variety of athletic fields, all in a natural setting. Bond Park is home to Bond Lake, a man-made freshwater lake open to fishing and boating. The 1.5 mile Bond Lake trail circles Bond Lake, and is popular with local mountain bikers and joggers.
Salem Elementary School
Salem Elementary School is a public school in Apex, North Carolina and a part of the Wake County Public School System. The school operates on a year-round calendar. In March 2012, the school celebrated "International Space Station Day" with a contact with astronaut Don Pettit aboard the ISS. 14 students representing all grades in the school asked questions of Pettit about research and life aboard the station.
