Union Station (Raleigh, North Carolina)
The Union Station in Raleigh, North Carolina was constructed in 1890 by the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad, a predecessor of the Seaboard Air Line, at the corner of Dawson and West Martin streets. It also served the original Norfolk Southern Railway and the Southern Railway, with a total of four tracks. Being a stub-end station, Union Station was inconvenient to operate. Seaboard built a new run-through station for itself in 1942, as did Southern in 1950.

Raleigh Convention Center

Leonard Hall (Shaw University)
Leonard Hall is a historic educational building located on the campus of Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Built in 1881 and originally named Leonard Medical Center (then Leonard Medical School), Leonard Hall was established when medical schools were professionalizing. It was the first medical school for African-Americans in the United States to offer a four-year curriculum, as well as the first four-year medical school in North Carolina.
Fayetteville Street Historic District
The Fayetteville Street Historic District in Raleigh, North Carolina is a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The District includes the 100-400 blocks of Fayetteville Street, the 00-100 blocks of the south side of West Hargett Street, the 00 block of the north side of West Martin Street, and the 100-400 blocks of South Salisbury Street. The District, composed mostly of commercial establishments, is home to eleven buildings listed on the NRHP.
Depot Historic District (Raleigh, North Carolina)
The Depot Historic District is an industrial and commercial neighborhood in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina that was the city's railroad and warehouse distribution hub from the 1850s to 1950s. Located two blocks west of Fayetteville Street and to the north and east of the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks, the district contains four blocks of 35 brick buildings that date from the 1880s to early 1950s.

Exploris Middle School is a Wake County public charter school founded in 1998 for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. Originally located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina across from Moore Square Park, in 2009 the school moved to a new location on Hillsborough Street a few blocks from the Capital. Central Prison
Central Prison is a prison operated by the North Carolina Department of Correction (NCDOC) in Raleigh, North Carolina. The prison, west of Downtown Raleigh, is on 29 acres of land and is bounded by a double wire fence with a razor ribbon on top. NCDOC describes the original building as "castle-like. " Inmates built the prison for 14 years, and granite quarried from an area outside of what would become the east wall of the prison was used to build the facility.

Capital Bank Plaza
Capital Bank Plaza is a skyscraper in Raleigh, North Carolina which houses the headquarters of Capital Bank. Formerly known as 333 Corporate Plaza, the 15-story building at 333 Fayetteville Street has 135,000 square feet of space and is an "outstanding example of International Style modernism" and "features black granite on the facade with polished green marble, black granite, and cherry paneling in the lobby. " Emery Roth designed the building, built in 1964.

One Progress Plaza (Raleigh, North Carolina)
