It is light-tight when its door is closed, except for one small, round opening in its roof which allows the building to act as a camera obscura.

Raleigh School
The Raleigh School is an independent, non-sectarian, coeducational day school located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, serving students from 18 months through fifth grade. Its forerunner, Raleigh Preschool, was established in 1952 and received a state charter in 1955. The current name, The Raleigh School, was adopted in 1992, and the K-5 program was added in 1993. The Soleil Center was a 43-story skyscraper and condo-hotel planned for Raleigh, North Carolina. The Soleil Center was intended to be the second tallest building in Raleigh and in the Triangle region. The PNC Plaza building in downtown Raleigh is the tallest.

NC State University (Lot 86, Farm Unit 1) is a Superfund site in Raleigh, North Carolina located to the north of Carter-Finley Stadium. It is a 1.5-acre site that was used from 1969 until 1980 to dispose of hazardous waste from laboratories and research facilities. The North Carolina State University Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences began monitoring the site in 1981, drilling wells and sampling the groundwater.
